Dr. Richard Bensimon is a board-certified plastic surgeon with over 37 years’ experience dedicated to the practice and education of aesthetic surgery. He served as Medical Director of the Bensimon Center in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Bensimon attended medical school at the University of Michigan and completed his general surgery residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center followed by his plastic surgery fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in New York.
Dr. Bensimon has been an enthusiastic proponent of deep plane facelifts and presented his technique at ASPS in 2000. Inspired by the groundbreaking techniques of Dr. Bryan Mendelson, Dr. Bensimon has served as course director and has been an active member of the MAFAC faculty since 2014. Dr. Bensimon has been recognized for his expertise and has been sought out as an educator in the United States and throughout the world. He has published in peer reviewed journals and has contributed to multiple educational textbooks translated into several languages. A particular passion of his has been the advancement and dissemination of deep chemical peeling as a basis for comprehensive facial rejuvenation. The synergistic effect of fat transfer, deep chemical peeling and deep plane facelifts has evolved into a powerful aesthetic regenerative combination.
In recognition of his expertise, Dr. Bensimon has been appointed by The Aesthetic Society as Visiting Professor 2024-2026.
