Dr. Pascal Castus is a plastic surgeon based in Brussels, Belgium.
His passion for plastic surgery began during his medical studies at the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL), where he actively participated for many years in the Laboratory of Experimental Research in Plastic Surgery. After graduating from UCL in 2002, he pursued training in plastic surgery and, by 2008, became a Specialist in Plastic Surgery and a Fellow of the Collegium Chirurgicum Plasticum Belgicum.
From 2008 to 2010, Dr. Castus served as Chef de Clinique at Geneva University Hospitals, Switzerland, focusing on microsurgery, rhinoplasty, and facial reconstruction. To further refine his skills in aesthetic surgery, he undertook fellowships in Brazil and Barcelona before returning to Belgium.
In 2011, Dr. Castus joined the Department of Plastic Surgery at the Cliniques de l’Europe in Brussels, Belgium. By 2013, he was appointed Head of the Department, where he now leads a team of four plastic surgeons. His reconstructive expertise primarily involves breast reconstruction using microsurgical techniques and facial reconstruction following the removal of skin cancers.
On the aesthetic side, his skills focus on rhinoplasty, facial aesthetic surgery, and breast aesthetic
surgery.
In March 2019, Dr. Castus expanded his practice by establishing a private clinic dedicated to aesthetic procedures. Today, his primary focus is on aesthetic facial surgery and rhinoplasty.
Dr. Castus is currently the President of the Royal Belgian Society for Plastic Surgery and an active member of numerous international scientific societies, reflecting his commitment to advancing the field of plastic surgery both locally and globally.
Dr. Castus is deeply passionate about teaching and sharing his knowledge with peers, firmly believing that education and collaboration are essential to achieving superior surgical outcomes and ensuring patient satisfaction. From 2011 to 2018, he traveled annually to France to teach at the Surgical Anatomy of Flaps course at the C.H.U. Bordeaux. Since 2018, he has been a faculty member of the International ISAPS Fresh Cadaver Aesthetic Surgery Dissection Course on Facial Procedures and Rhinoplasty, held every January in Liège, Belgium. In 2023, he was honored to be invited by Dr. Bryan Mendelson to join the faculty of the Mendelson Advanced Facial Anatomy Course (MAFAC) in Amsterdam, Netherlands, with future engagements planned at the Mayo Clinic
in Rochester, USA.
