Mr Keith Mutimer is a specialist plastic surgeon based in Melbourne, Australia. He operates from Cabrini Brighton Hospital and Brighton Plastic Surgery. Mr Mutimer believes in fully informing his patients in detail about the procedure they are considering and consults personally with all patients.

For thirty years Mr Mutimer has focused on a range of plastic cosmetic techniques, in particular craniofacial and maxillofacial, cleft lip and palate and facial deformities, for both adults and children.

Mr Mutimer has been in private practice for over three decades. He performs a range of cosmetic surgery procedures for both men and women. They include full face lift, rhinoplasty, eye lid surgery, breast augmentation, reduction and lifting, liposuction, facial implants including chin implants and cheek implants, neck surgery, endoscopic brow lift, laser resurfacing, ear reduction, thighlift/armlift, wrinkle reduction with fat injections and dermal fillers, and men’s chest surgery.

He has been the past president of the ASPS and was a member of the Council of RACS for nine years where he held the executive roles of Treasurer and Vice President.

For many years Mr Mutimer has worked with Interplast, an organisation which provides expert plastic and reconstructive surgery for people in South Pacific and northern Australian regions. His volunteer work with cleft lip and palate patients has changed the lives of many people in China, Fiji, Tonga, the Philippines, Vanuatu, Vietnam and Sri Lanka. Mr Mutimer is the current President of Interplast.

Mr Mutimer won a Commonwealth Scholarship to Monash University. His early surgical training was at Melbourne’s Prince Henry’s Hospital, Western General Hospital, Victorian Plastic Surgery Unit in Preston and Royal Melbourne Hospital. He obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in plastic surgery in 1986.

He has studied, worked and taught overseas in Oxford, Paris and America. He was a Fellow in Plastic Surgery at Oxford University in England, trained at Harvard University, the Boston Children’s Hospital and was Chief Resident of Plastic Surgery at the Brigham Hospital in Boston. He also trained in Plastic Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He was Locum Chief Surgeon at the Lautoka Hospital in Fiji. He has published papers in plastic and reconstructive surgery, lectures plastic surgeons internationally on invitation and regularly attends conferences and workshops around the world.
