He is an active member of the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (KSPRS) and the Chinese Association of Plastics and Aesthetics (CAPA).
Dr. Ryu has been invited to speak as part of the panel at meetings in Korea, US, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, Indonesia, and other countries. He is very interested in Asian Facelift surgery and facial anatomy. The demand for Facelift procedures is rapidly increasing in Asia and as a result of continued economic development and significant growth of the aged population. As we know Asian’s facial features are different from Caucasian’s. It is unfortunate there are very little research papers for Asian facelift. It is for this reason, Dr Ryu is keen to contribute to the development of research in this area.
Dr. Ryu is also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS). He is enthusiastic to learn from the ‘masters’ and share his experiences with colleagues.
Dr. Ryu is extremely honoured to be on the Faculty for the Melbourne Advanced Facial Anatomy Course.
